01Information we collect

We collect only what the app needs to work:

Photos

Pictures of your clothes that you take or choose from your gallery, so the app can identify each item and build outfits from your real wardrobe.

Account information

Your email address, collected when you sign in, to create and secure your account.

Location

Precise location, requested only for weather-aware suggestions (e.g. a cold-day layering tip) — the app works without it; you can decline or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.

Usage & device information

Basic technical data generated automatically by using the app — things like crash diagnostics, app version, and general interaction events — used to keep the service reliable and to understand which features are actually useful.

02How we use it

• To run the app's core features: identifying garments in your photos, generating outfit suggestions, tracking what you've worn, and building packing lists.
• To personalize weather-aware recommendations based on your location.
• To operate your account, including subscriptions and one-time purchases.
• To send you notifications you've opted into (e.g. "your item is ready," daily look reminders).
• To respond when you contact support.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the app.

We do not use your photos or wardrobe data to train third-party AI models beyond what's needed to return a result to you for that request.

03Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We do use a small number of service providers to make the app work — each processes only what it needs for its specific job:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Clofy, our users, or the public.

04Retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, so the app can keep working the way you'd expect. You're in control beyond that:

• Delete all photos — permanently removes every garment image you've uploaded, from Settings → Privacy & data.
• Delete account — permanently removes your account and all associated data. This cannot be undone.

05Your rights & choices

Wherever you're located, you can:

• Access the data associated with your account.
• Correct inaccurate account information.
• Delete your photos or your entire account, in-app, at any time (see above — no need to email us to exercise this one).
• Withdraw permissions — location and notifications can be turned off at any time in your device's system settings.

06Security

All data in transit between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure — we can't guarantee absolute security, and we'd ask you to use a strong, unique password on your account regardless.

07Children's privacy

Clofy is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.

08International users

Clofy is used internationally. Your information may be processed by us or by the service providers listed above in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws than where you live. By using the app, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.

09Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you in-app.
